Sweet Protection, developers of premium helmets, protective gear and technical clothing for snow, mountain bike and whitewater, partnered with Field Productions and Fri Flyt to launch the Sweet Line contest.
The winner and a friend will receive a ski trip to produce an edit with the award-winning crew behind Supervention 2.
To enter, participants must upload a short film featuring their ski or snowboard abilities, a little about themselves and the reasons why they think they should win. Videos can be uploaded and viewed on Sweet Protection’s site, where viewers can “Give Cred” to the submissions.
Representatives from Sweet, Field Productions and Fri Flyt will then choose the winners out of the top 10 submissions.
“There are a lot of talented skiers and riders out there, many of whom are becoming very proficient at shooting and editing video,” said Christian Erga, head of marketing for Sweet. “This contest gives these individuals a platform to showcase their work and an opportunity to learn from and work with some of the best ski film producers in the industry.”
The first-prize winner and a friend will be flown to a selected backcountry destination in Norway with a full kit of ski apparel and a helmet from Sweet Protection. For two days, they’ll work side-by-side with the Field Productions crew to produce a professional edit with Karl Kristian Muggerud, a starring skier in Supervention 2.
The second-prize winner will be kitted with apparel and a helmet from Sweet and the third prize winner will receive a helmet of choice from the brand. The deadline for submissions is February 28 and winners will be announced on March 10.
Based out of the small village of Trysil, Norway, Sweet Protection has been developing helmets, protection gear and technical clothing since 2000.
