Sweaty Betty, the women’s activewear retailer based in the U.K., plans to expand to at least 50 stores in the U.S. over the next five years, according to a report in the Los Angeles Times.
It started opening stores in the U.S. in 2013 and now has eight locations, including stores in Greenwich, CT; East Hampton, NY and three in Manhattan in the Flatiron district, Madison Avenue and SoHo. This year it expanded out west with three stores in the Los Angeles area in Santa Monica, Venice and West Hollywood.
Eight to 10 stores are planned over the next 12 months, including locations in San Francisco and one near Newport Beach, according to the Los Angeles Times.
