Superfeet Worldwide Inc. has hired Dan Wakeland as product manager, a multi-faceted senior level role responsible for researching, designing and bringing new products to market.  Wakeland will play an integral part in managing a new product testing program, establishing an efficient timetable for production planning, and coordinating market feedback.

Wakeland worked for many years in the European outdoor industry with Trek Bicycle Corp. and Specialized Cycles, and spent seven years at REI as Apparel Product Line Manager and as International Product Manager.  He was VP of Operations  – Design/Development Group for Tabar, Inc. and most recently the Director of Account Management for RV | ID, a start-up focusing on asset tracking of high value collateral for the OEM and the wholesale lending industries.

“Dan's depth of experience and knowledge of product management from idea to delivery is invaluable,” says VP Marketing Randy Curran.  “We are very happy to have Dan join our team and look forward to honing our design and other processes with his lead.”

Wakeland graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor's Degree in French and International Relations, and later attended the Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management, earning a Master’s of International Business Management.  He is fluent in French and German. 

An avid cyclist who rode competitively for 16 years, Wakeland is excited to bring his passion for the outdoors to Superfeet.
