After SGMA announced that this coming Super Show would be the last, many wondered what would become of Communications and Show Management, the company that had run the show. No longer encumbered with Super Show, CSM will redirect its efforts to produce and manage the new Sports Licensing & Entertainment Marketplace in cooperation with the new Tailgate and Picnic Marketplace. The show will take place in Las Vegas from November 9-11, 2006.

“We are thrilled that we can put our expertise to work for the Sports Licensing and Entertainment industries in a time period that works (November 9-11), in a location they want (Las Vegas) and in a format they’ll love (Licensed, Entertainment and Apparel),” said Stanley Schwartz, CSM’s president.

“The October/November time period is a ‘happening’ time for the Sports Licensing and Sports Entertainment industry worldwide. NASCAR is at its height; Major League Baseball is just coming off the World Series; NFL, NBA, NHL and Major League Soccer are in full swing, as are collegiate sports,” added Hardy Katz, CSM’s VP.

Soon to be released details will reveal a new dynamic in bringing licensors, manufacturers and retailers together. And, an exciting new format that brings the trade the latest, most innovative and least expensive way to see and buy new Sports Licensing and Entertainment products. From electronics to music and video; to athletes and celebrities; to networking parties and fun.

“Over the years, being in the thick of it and talking with manufacturers and retailers every day, we’ve developed tremendous knowledge and an understanding of the industry. We realize there is a need for progressive thinking,” said Ann Keusch, Chief Operating Officer of CSM.

To bring further excitement, in conjunction with the Sports Licensing & Entertainment Marketplace will be the all-new Tailgate•Picnic Marketplace. Both a trade show and a consumer extravaganza, the Tailgate•Picnic Marketplace will run concurrently with the Sports Licensing and Entertainment Marketplace from Thursday, November 9 through Saturday, November 11, 2006.
