Summit Sports, Inc., a Bloomfield Hills-based outdoor recreation and sports retailer, has promoted three of its team members. The announcement was made by Steve Kopitz, company “Ski-E-O” and president.


Scott Touchette, of Pontiac, MI, has been named director of technology. He previously served as the company’s product placement manger. In this position, he is responsible for ensuring that all IT infrastructures for the company runs smoothly and effectively. Additionally, he will play a key role in all IT decision-making initiatives for Summit Sports. Touchette graduated in 2004 from Oakland University with a bachelor’s in management information systems.


Redford, MI, resident, Jenna Rickard, has been promoted from product placement marketing manager to director of web content. She will be responsible for coordinating and producing compelling product listings and web content for the company’s more than 15 e-commerce websites. The 2008 Michigan State University graduate will work closely with her team and top management to help achieve the strategic goals of the organization.


The new director of customer relationship management (CRM), Courtney Voorheis, will ensure that all members of her team deliver and maintain the best possible level of customer service. The previous customer service manager is a resident of Inkster, MI and graduated from Art Institute Minnesota in 2003.
