USA Field Hockey and STX jointly announced a brand new partnership that will include design and development of all on-pitch and off-pitch apparel through the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

As the official apparel provider to the national governing body of the sport of field hockey, the STX brand will make its return to the Olympics in competitive apparel. STX will also work closely with USA Field Hockey on the provision of sideline and training apparel while outfitting all national teams, at all levels, for the next four years.

“This is a significant partnership between two of the largest entities in the sport, in the United States,” said Ed Saunders, STX director of marketing. “We are deeply honored to have been selected to support our national teams in their pursuit of continued success and elevation on the international stage. It’s an exciting time for field hockey in the United States, and we couldn’t imagine not doing our part in empowering higher performance for USA Field Hockey.”

USA Field Hockey will debut its first set of STX uniforms next month when the U.S. Women’s National Team travels to the Hawke’s Bay Cup in New Zealand and the U.S. Men’s National Team participates in FIH Hockey World League Round 2 in Trinidad and Tobago.

“We are delighted to partner with STX on our national team uniforms,” said Simon Hoskins, USA Field Hockey’s executive director. “STX is committed to growing the game with USA Field Hockey and shares the hockey community’s ambition for Team USA.”

STX has spent the last two years developing an elite level, field hockey specific on-pitch uniform with its English Premier League partners, which will serve as the foundation for ongoing product development with the U.S. National Team programs.
“We are very excited to continue the advancement of our competitive performance apparel program through our partnership with USA Field Hockey,” according to Carrie Macioce, STX category brand manager. “Working closely with athletes at the next level will strengthen our understanding of how we can build better products to serve their specific needs on the hockey pitch.”

STX make equipment for lacrosse, field hockey and ice hockey.
