STX, LLC added Major League Lacrosse (MLL) player Marcus Holman to its lineup of Team STX athletes.
The attackman for the Columbus-based Ohio Machine and member of Team USA will exclusively use STX lacrosse equipment and help shape STX product development through equipment testing and feedback. Additionally, Holman will support STX marketing campaigns.
“I’m honored to be a member of the STX athlete family,” Holman said of the partnership. “I’ve used STX products ever since I was a young player, through college at the University of North Carolina (UNC) and now in the MLL. I look forward to representing the STX brand in this next stage of my lacrosse career.”
While at UNC, Holman was named ACC Freshman of the Year in 2010, received the Turnbull trophy as the team’s MVP in 2011 and ended his college career with 213 points, including 121 goals and 92 assists. He was also a 2013 finalist for the Tewaaraton Award, given annually to the most outstanding American college lacrosse player. In the MLL, Holman is a two-time All-Star and was named the 2014 Offensive Player of the Year for the Machine. In 2016, Holman scored his 100th career goal.
“We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Marcus,” said STX Director of Marketing, Ed Saunders. “As a brand, we always seek to align ourselves with those athletes who represent all that’s best in lacrosse, on and off the field. Marcus has certainly shown that he will stand as one of the great players and people within the sport for the coming decade. We’re looking forward to working with him in achieving our mutual goals in the years ahead.”
STX focuses on lacrosse, field hockey and ice hockey.
