For the Fall/Winter 2024/25 season, Stio announced plans to open a new Mountain Studio in Vail, CO and bolster its partnership with longtime wholesale partner Sturtevants of Sun Valley, ID, with a Stio shop-in-shop.
“Expanding our presence in Vail and Sun Valley—two legendary epicenters within the sport of skiing—is a huge milestone for our brand,” said Stephen Sullivan, founder and CEO of Stio. “Both towns epitomize the spirit of mountain living, and we look forward to connecting with these communities through local events, partnerships and more.”
Stio’s Mountain Studio will open in Vail’s Solaris Plaza, which includes high-end retailers and restaurants. Skiing is steps from the store’s front door. This will be Stio’s twelfth retail store, which it expects to open during the holiday season.
In addition to the Mountain Studio store, Stio is opening a shop-in-shop in the storefront of Sturtevants in the Limelight Hotel in downtown Ketchum, ID. Sturtevants will continue to offer rental equipment and services to guests and locals, along with Stio apparel and outerwear similar to that of a Stio Mountain Studio.
“We’ve seen incredible success with Stio over the years. Being a Jackson-based brand and one that prides itself on truly living the mountain life, that’s something that has really resonated with our local community,” said Olin Glenne, owner of Sturtevants. “We’re excited to welcome guests into this newly redesigned space where they will find a much deeper assortment of Stio styles and a wide range of fresh colorways to outfit themselves from head to toe for the mountain.”
