Continuing in its tradition of supporting talent, Steve Madden Music kicked off its 2014 live music series with CULTS at Music Hall of Williamsburg, on Mar. 6.  This marks the first of three shows Steve Madden Music is presenting in partnership with The Bowery Presents.

The Pretty Reckless will headline the second show and a very special surprise guest will headline the third show in the coming months.  Traditionally, Steve Madden Music events have been invite-only – these three exclusive shows will be open to the public, with CULTS selling out minutes after it was announced on Ticketmaster.

Since its inception, Steve Madden Music has partnered with some of today's hottest artists like Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Neon Trees, and Deap Vally in the infancy of their careers.  In the same vein, The Bowery Presents has been a dedicated proponent of true artist development and consistently strives to help artists grow from performing in small rooms to playing sold-out shows at huge venues.

CULTS is a NY based band comprised of Medline Follin and Brian Oblivion. CULTS began merely as an apartment hobby, with Brian fiddling with fragments of tunes and Madeline trilling on top. With the immediacy of internet fame, within days of CULTS putting songs online, they were bombarded with fan e-mails, gig offers, and blog coverage.

Shortly thereafter came a contract with Columbia Records, music festivals (Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, and Pitchfork to name a few), and a world tour with stops in cities that included Malmo, Singapore, Buffalo, and Melbourne.
