Urban Outfitters, Inc. announced the resignation of Stephen Murray from his position as global president of the Urban Outfitters Brand. Murray, who joined Urban Outfitters in May 2010, was formerly president of VF Action Sports Coalition and former president of Vans.
According to a statement from Urban Outfitters, Murray advised the company of his plans to return to London, England and to pursue an opportunity with a wholesale business having an international focus.
Glen T. Senk, chief executive officer, will fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the position on an interim basis while the company conducts its search for a new global president of the Urban Outfitters Brand.
“On behalf of the company, I would like to thank Steve for his hard work over the course of the past year and his contribution to the organization. We wish him well in his future endeavors,” said Senk.
Urban Outfitters' brands include Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie and Free People.
