Stein Mart, Inc. announced that Gwen K. Manto has resigned her position as vice chairman and chief merchandising officer of the company in order to pursue other interests. She also resigned her position on Stein Mart's board of directors.
“We would like to thank Gwen for her contributions to Stein Mart over the past three years and we wish her well in the future,” said Michael D. Fisher, president and chief executive officer of the company.
The search for a successor to lead Stein Mart's merchandising organization will begin immediately. In the interim period, the vice presidents in the merchandising, planning and marketing areas will report to Fisher.
