Stage Stores Inc. announced the promotion of Jason Curtis to executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer.
Michael Glazer, president and chief executive officer said, “I am very pleased with the outcome of our search for a CFO, which included both internal and external candidates, and feel confident that Jason is the right person for the role. As Interim CFO for the company, Jason has been instrumental in developing our multi-year plan to accelerate the conversion to Gordmans off-price stores and growing our private label credit card business to record profitability. His experience and leadership skills in both the retail industry and Stage will certainly benefit our company going forward.”
Curtis has been with Stage since 2011, most recently serving as its interim chief financial officer from August 2018 to present. Prior to that, he served as senior vice president, finance and credit from March 2017. Curtis also held the roles of group vice president, finance and credit from May 2016 to March 2017, vice president, finance and accounting from November 2013 to April 2016, and vice president, finance and treasurer from May 2011 to November 2013. Prior to joining Stage, Curtis served in various financial roles at Belk, Inc. and The May Department Stores Company. Curtis earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
