Fashion and outerwear industry veteran Loredana Venturi has been named Spyder's European Merchandiser. Her responsibility is to identify and articulate trends in fashion, price points, brands and retailers throughout Europe and communicate her findings to the product team in Boulder, Colorado.
Additionally, Venturi will funnel feedback from Spyder's EU sales agents and distributors to Spyder's headquarters so the brand can deliver regionally relevant and compelling product. She will split her time between the US and Europe.
Spyder's Chief Operating Officer Joe Vernachio announced the new position. “In our very competitive marketplace it's more important than ever that Spyder's product be relevant for key European markets. Loredana brings years of experience and insight to Spyder, allowing us to be on the forefront of the European market's needs,” he said.
Venturi's unique background with both high fashion and technical apparel brands provides an advantage to Spyder, which infuses style, function, and technology into its outerwear and accessory collections. Venturi's background includes Zegna, Gianni Versace, Gucci, and most recently Napapijri where she served in various sales and merchandising roles.
The company said the European market is significant to Spyder's worldwide business. Venturi's hire is instrumental to the brand's focus on growing its European market share within the next few seasons.
