Spyder Active Sports, Inc., which is also the parent of Cloudveil Mountain Works, named Thomas McGann as its new CEO. McGann was formerly president of Burton and CEO of Motorsport Aftermarket Group.

“Tom comes to us with a great deal of experience,” said David Jacobs, Spyder, founder and chairman. “He knows the space, and he knows the industry. I'm confident he'll reinforce Spyder as the number one ski brand.”

Spyder's president and CEO most recently was Jake Jacobs, the son of the chairman and founder. Jake Jacobs became CEO in 2007.

In conjunction with McGann's appointment, Doug Hood has been hired as CFO. His financial experience includes posts at Motorsport Aftermarket Group, Aspen Marketing Group and SCI Promotion. Hood will direct Spyder's short and long-term financial goals, including strategizing best fiscal practices relating to established and new distribution channels and income centers.
