SportsShoes.com hired ten new employees within its brand marketing, social media and design departments to support business growth and development.

The Leeds, England-based online retailer said it sells over 17,000 products from 150 global running and outdoor brands.

  • Maryse Haynes joined the company as marketing coordinator from Inov-8, where she was a marketing executive. She also previously represented Team GB at the European Cross Country Championships and was part of the under-23s team, winning a silver medal in 2014.
  • Erika Carter and Katie Brown came on board as senior marketing executives. Brown joins the company from Pro:Direct Sport and has covered lifestyle and fitness as a journalist.
  • Nigel Hockin joined the company as social media manager from the digital marketing agency Nano Interactive. Hockin holds a 2:25 marathon time and is a brand ambassador for Salomon Running. He is joined by social media executive Anna Dugdale.
  • Jacob Warr joins the company as a senior designer from Visualsoft. Digital designer Eloise Foy, who previously worked at Great Rail Journeys and videographer and content creator Ellis Dagnall, also joined the design team. Hannah Greenwood and Thomas McDonald were hired as an e-commerce assistant and marketing design intern, respectively.

In June, the retailer, which reportedly has annual revenues of £83.8 million, noted in a release that its first quarter revenues for the financial year started March 1 were up 20 percent year-over-year.
