NSSF Takes Exception With President Biden’s Gun Control Executive Order

NSSF, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, is taking exception with President Joe Biden’s Executive Order to increase gun control measures. In the name of “doing something,” the Biden administration is chilling fundamental Constitutional rights and simply rehashing existing law, many of which were previously supported by the firearm industry.

Sporting Goods Retail Industry Icon Jim Chick Passes Away

The National Sporting Goods Association shared that former NSGA board member and board chair, Jim Chick, passed away. Chick was president & CEO of Chick’s Sporting Goods, headquartered in Covina, CA, for nearly 40 years. He was a member of the NSGA board of directors from 1985 to 1994 and was the board chairman in 1992.

Stio To Open Mountain Studio In Bozeman

Stio reported it will open a tenth Mountain Studio in Bozeman, MT this fall. This follows the company opening an East Coast Studio in Boston and its first in South Lake Tahoe, scheduled to open on March 24.

Smith & Wesson’s Q3 Profits Drop 52 Percent

Smith & Wesson Brands reported earnings declined 51.9 percent in the third quarter ended January 31 as sales declined 27.4 percent. The firearms maker said the sales improved sequentially and remain above the comparable pre-pandemic quarter in fiscal 2020.

Bushmaster Adds Director Of Sales

Bushmaster hired Bill Gentry as director of sales.  The company said that Gentry brings 17 years of industry knowledge and experience and has been a passionate defender of the Second Amendment his entire carrier.
