The Sports Facilities Companies (SFC), the developer and manager of sports, recreation and entertainment facilities nationwide, announced the opening or groundbreaking of 12 new facilities across the U.S. in 2025.
The new SFC projects will expand youth and amateur sports opportunities while strengthening local economies and fostering community growth.

These complexes represent millions of lives being impacted positively across the country, and each of these projects represents a unique opportunity to transform local economies and provide lasting benefits for generations.”
2025 Facility Openings Include:
- WYO Sports Ranch (Casper, WY): The sports complex opened in January with cutting-edge technology to engage youth and amateur athletes throughout the Rocky Mountain and Big Sky regions.
- Kentucky Sports Factory (Madisonville, KY): The multipurpose sports complex had a soft opening in January, with a grand opening scheduled for March. It is a hub for multi-use activities, including local programs, tournaments and community activities.
- Woodman’s Center (Janesville, WI): This venue includes ice arenas and community spaces is scheduled to open in fall 2025.
- Burlington Pickleball (Burlington, NC): Caters to the increasing pickleball community, with courts and amenities for recreational play and high-level competition.
- Davis Center, Central Park (New York, NY): This recreation center offers new and enhanced outdoor activities and unhindered access at the north end of Central Park’s Harlem Meer. The ice skating rink, swimming pool, green roof, and park amenities will reopen in 2025 after a complete renovation.
- Crossroads Sports Complex, Phase 1 (New Lenox, IL): The first phase of this complex, opening in 2025, will feature the largest collection of multipurpose synthetic turf outdoor fields for tournaments and local events in the Midwest.
- Cyclone Ballparks Expansion (Pecos, TX): The success of phase I has created a demand for additional fields, enhancing the popular facility with extra features.
- Scheels Sports Park at Legacy Pointe (Springfield, IL): The venue features a 170,000-square-foot indoor dome and championship field with stadium-style seating. The complex will host tournaments for 60-to-100 teams on weekends year-round.
- Paducah Sports Park (Paducah, KY): This facility will transform the historic Bluegrass Downs and Stuart Nelson Park with five high school baseball diamonds, 20 youth/fastpitch diamonds and 10 multi-sport fields.
2025 Groundbreakings
- Destination Kings Park (Kings Park, NY): This project will combine youth sports, recreation and retail to serve Long Island and the surrounding region.
- City of Muscle Shoals Complex (Muscle Shoals, AL): The $65 million sports and entertainment complex will boost tourism and local business while serving local families.
- Boyd County Sports Complex (Boyd County, KY): This facility will include a sports complex and convention center, attracting regional events and driving economic impact as part of a larger mixed-use entertainment district.
SFC reported in a media release that its managed facilities portfolio generates over $500 million in annual economic impact from over 35 million guest visits. The company projects that the new projects in 2025 will create hundreds of jobs during construction and operations, further driving significant revenue growth for local economies.
