Sports Endeavors, LLC, the parent company of American soccer specialty retailers Soccer.com and WorldSoccerShop, has completed the acquisition of Soccer Master. Sports Endeavors has been a portfolio company of Seawall Capital, LLC since August 2022 but the Moylan family maintains a minority stake in the business.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
This is the second deal closed last year after Sports Endeavors, in May 2024, completed the acquisition of Ewing Sports, a regional soccer specialty retailer headquartered in Ewing Township, NJ.
The Ewing deal is expected to provide Sports Endeavors with a broader reach in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, while the Soccer Master deal extends the company’s reach into the Midwest.
Soccer Master, based in St. Louis, MO, has served the Midwest since 1978. The specialty soccer business has six stores across Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, and Kansas.
“Soccer Master built a well-earned reputation as one of the top soccer specialty stores in the United States, providing soccer clubs, teams and institutions with a comprehensive selection of equipment, apparel and personalized support,” Sports Endeavors stated in a media release confirming the closing on the transaction.
“We are thrilled to acquire Soccer Master and expand our ability to serve soccer players, teams and fans,” said Mike Moylan, co-founder and CEO of Sports Endeavors, LLC. “We have long admired Soccer Master’s dedication to the sport, and we’re excited to build upon the amazing legacy that David Brcic and the Brcic family have created and fostered for nearly 50 years.”
Soccer Master’s retail store locations include:
- Manchester in St. Louis, MO
- St. Peters in St. Louis, MO
- South County in St. Louis, MO
- Shiloh, IL, just outside St. Louis, MO
- Overland Park in Kansas City, KS
- Urbandale in Des Moines, IA
“This union allows us to combine our deep-rooted connections in the community with Soccer.com’s unrivaled service, selection and distribution capabilities that will only enhance the experience for the teams and families we serve,” said Soccer Master CEO David Brcic. “We’re confident that our customers will benefit from Soccer.com’s impact.”
All six Soccer Master retail stores will continue to operate under the Soccer Master name. Soccer Master’s two online businesses, SoccerMaster.com and SoccerPro.com, will transition to Soccer.com for a seamless fulfillment experience.
“Additionally, soccer families and players already know and trust the Soccer.com brand through our dynamic presence across social media, where we engage nearly 8 million followers, and through our event retail group, which activates at over 100 premier youth soccer tournaments across the country annually,” Sports Endeavors noted.
