Sport Hansa LLC, which imports and distributes six European outdoor brands to 260 dealers in North America, has hired Peter Whitney of the Whitney Outdoor Group and Mike Felix with Vapor Outdoor Sales to represent its lines in the Northeast and mid-Southwest territories respectively.

Based in Kennebunk, ME, Peter Whitney joined Sport Hansa in December 2013 to represent Helle of Norway, Kupilka, Montane, Pronto Café, Terra Nova, and Wetterlings. Whitney brings over 25-years of experience serving specialty dealers on behalf of leading outdoor apparel and footwear brands across the U.S.

“I’m excited to work with Sport Hansa to continue building momentum in North America,” notes Pete Whitney. “Each brand has a rich heritage crafting innovative products for the outdoor markets, and fit the model of partnering with specialty dealers long term.” In the mid-Southwest, Mike Felix will serve as sales representative for Sport Hansa brands Helle and Wetterlings, effective immediately. Felix is an outdoor retail veteran with nearly 18-years of experience, including ownership, sales, purchasing, and merchandising.

“I’m thrilled to represent Helle and Wetterlings,” says Mike Felix. “These brands’ time tested, artisan craftsmanship encourages outdoor time, getting fresh air and sparks new adventures,” says Mike Felix. “This is key to connecting with the outdoor customer and our dealers understand that.”

“We look forward to working with Pete and Mike to drive brand and product awareness for these authentic outdoor brands,” states Matt Huff, managing director of Sport Hansa. “We take great pride representing these authentic European brands and it’s exciting to see them take hold in North America.”

Serving over 240 specialty retailers in the North American market, Sport Hansa represents European brands Helle (Norway), Kupilka (Finland), Montane (England), Pronto Café (France), Terra Nova (England,) and Wetterlings (Sweden).
