Rick Kersenbrock, Craig Levra and Colin Temple have been elected to the board of directors of the LA Sports & Entertainment Commission (LASEC).
Kersenbrock is Southern California regional director, national homebuilder services division at First American Title Insurance Company. Levra is Chairman/CEO of Sport Chalet, Inc. and Temple is vice president and general manager, western region, American Express Establishment Services.
Before joining First American in 1998, Kersenbrock practiced law in Honolulu, Hawaii for eleven years. He has served as vice president and general counsel for First American Long & Melone Title Company in Honolulu and then moved onto other executive positions within First American Title Insurance Company in both California and Hawaii. Kersenbrock is a member of the Hawaii, Los Angeles County, Orange County and American Bar Associations. He is also a member of the Southern California Building Industry Association, Urban Land Institute and Young Presidents' Organization. Kersenbrock is a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a Bachelor's degree in journalism, as well as a juris doctor from the William S. Richardson School of Law.
Levra joined Sport Chalet in 1997 and, during his tenure, has led the company through a series of planned long-term strategic initiatives that placed it twice on Forbes Magazine's list of America's Best 200 Small Companies. Prior to joining Sport Chalet, Levra held positions of increasing responsibility at The Sports Authority, finally serving as vice president of store operations before joining Sport Chalet. He is also a board member of Junior Achievement of Southern California and the Southern California Committee for the Olympic Games and he received his Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Kansas.
Temple started his career with American Express in 1989, joining the company as a sales manager in London, England. Since that time, he has held numerous sales and marketing management positions and, prior to 2004, was based in the company's New York headquarters. Currently, he is responsible for a broad range of business development activities in the western US as well as in four Canadian provinces. Temple also serves on the Marketing Committee of LA INC. The Convention and Visitors Bureau.
