Split Clothing appointed Kurt Schleicher as VP of domestic sales, Chris San Juan as SVP of design, and Alex Yang as director of marketing.
As VP of domestic sales, Kurt Schleicher will be responsible for overseeing and building the sales team. Schleicher was formerly the director of sales at Fox Apparel, where he was responsible for increasing sales in excess of 400% within the first five years at the company.
“There is a lot of excitement within the action sports market; smaller, emerging brands are making significant inroads at retail. That’s why I found Split so compelling. I am really excited about the management team we have in place and am looking forward to the opportunities ahead of us.
Joining the SPLIT Clothing design team, as VP of Design, is Chris San Juan. San Juan brings over twelve years experience in the apparel industry working previously as the VP of design and merchandising at Zoo York developing the underground cult brand into an international lifestyle action sports brand. San Juan’s responsibilities at SPLIT Clothing include; directing and overseeing the SPLIT Clothing seasonal merchandising plan, designing seasonal product from concept to execution, and managing product sample fulfillment.
“I’m amped for the opportunity to be a part SPLIT’s new management team and bringing the brand back in full force. The team is dynamic and the experience on the crew makes it even more exciting,” said San Juan.
Alex Yang joins SPLIT Clothing as director of marketing where he will oversee the brands direction and execution. Yang was formerly skate marketing manager at DC Shoes. “It’s tremendous to hear the excitement from consumers and international distributors that the brands back in full swing. We have a lot of great things coming down the pipe and having Kurt and Chris on board is just the beginning.”
This coming holiday, SPLIT Clothing will be offering a limited early spring ‘13 release. The entire spring ‘13 collection will be available at finer shops early January 2013.
