“The hiring of Michael Martin demonstrates our commitment to improving Softride's sales and marketing efforts throughout North America and International territories,” said Mike Allsop, Softride's co-owner and chief executive officer. “Chig is a great fit for Softride, because of his success in selling products for active, sport retailing companies. We are pleased to have him on board,” Allsop said.
Softride has teamed Michael with Adam Greene, working in Inside Sales, forming a collaboration to maintain productivity, high levels of customer service, and improved product development.
“I am excited to join Softride and help the company sell its innovative products in the multisport and cycling industry”. This is a tremendous opportunity,” Martin said. “I was truly convinced on the performance advantages these bikes have to offer after I attended the Softride Cycling Science Seminar”. Michael began working at Softride last week.
Martin has more than 25 years of experience in sport retailing business, product development, strategic planning, and sales staff development. Martin's experience includes leadership roles in sales, race management, and customer service. Martin worked in inside sales and marketing for Quintana Roo Bikes and Wetsuits division after an acquisition from Saucony shoes. He previously was Bicycle Sports National Coordinator for 7 stores and lead negotiations with race directors and an expo truck for a 35 event calendar season. “Michael can relate to customer needs and wants through his exceptional passion and love for the sport of triathlon,” said Allsop. He also is an Ironman finisher, triathlete Coach, and veteran of over 150 triathlons.
