SmartWool has hired Carol Davidson as their new
Marketing Director. Davidson was formerly a Creative Director at DDB-Seattle, an award winning global advertising agency.

“Carol comes to SmartWool with extensive marketing experience,” said Chip
Coe, SmartWool President. “She has an unbridled passion for the outdoors
and will be integral in helping SmartWool become a broader, more diversified
brand and business that lives and plays in both the active outdoor as well
as the athletic and lifestyle/fashion markets and beyond.”

Carol comes to SmartWool with 20 years of marketing experience, the majority
of which has been spent as Creative Director with experience ranging from
the Nordstrom Product Group to K2, The North Face, McDonald's and even with
SmartWool during her tenure at BrandLab. In her new position as Marketing
Director, she will be responsible for development and implementation of
tactics and marketing strategy to drive overall brand communications and key
seasonal initiatives.

As an avid skier, climber, biker, runner and mom, Carol sees herself as
“passionate about wildlife and wildflowers”, and is ecstatic about being
able to join her “dream client” because “they know their brand. They live
and breathe it internally and externally. They can articulate it clearly
because it is part of their being as opposed to a carefully crafted document
that tells them who they should be instead of who they are.”
