Sloane Stephens, formerly Under Armour’s top female tennis endorser, has signed a deal with Nike.
“I am so excited to share with you all that I have officially joined the @nike @nikecourt family!!!” Stephens said on Instagram. She had been with Under Armour since 2010.
The change comes just four months after after she won the U.S. Open, her first major title. Sports Business Journal said her contract with Under Armour expired and Nike outbid Under Armour, Adidas and Uniqlo.
Nike’s lineup of female tennis stars include Maria Sharapova, Madison Keys, Victoria Azarenka and Petra Kvitova.
