Slingshot Sports, the manufacturer of watersports equipment, hired Jonathan Thesenga as director of marketing. In this role, he is responsible for aligning the marketing department operations with the company’s global goals and initiatives, optimizing its marketing department to support the brand, business and community, and creating and managing a go-to-market plan and process.

Thesenga is a thirty-year veteran working in the outdoor industry as a content and sports management marketer, four of which were spent as a copywriter for Slingshot Sports and Ride Engine and another ten as a content and marketing manager at Black Diamond Equipment. Five years ago, he founded Dragonfly Kite Safaris, a kiteboarding tour business in Egypt, before returning to Slingshot.
