Skirt Sports, the innovative women’s fitness apparel brand that created the original running skirt, is seeking professional race production companies to help expand the popular Skirt Chaser 5k Race Series nationally.

The Skirt Chaser 5k is a one-of-a-kind race that’s true to its name: the event begins with an all-women’s start, followed by a men’s “skirt chaser” start three minutes later. The race concludes with a three-hour long block party featuring live music, complimentary beer and food, flirty games, and a fashion show to celebrate the event.

The series is held annually in Denver, Colo., and Tempe, Ariz., but due to popular demand, Skirt Sports is seeking to grow the events on a more national scale with the assistance of race production companies who have the ability to market and produce the new events in their home markets.

To determine the new race sites, Skirt Sports has created a web page (www.skirtsports.com/skirtchaser5k/vote.cfm) where friends and fans can vote on their preferred locations. One lucky male and female voter from each new location will receive a complimentary race registration for the event’s debut.

“I’m contacted almost every day by runners across the United States asking that we expand the Skirt Chaser 5k to their region, so it gives me great pleasure to say that we’re ready to meet their demand,” said Nicole DeBoom, founder and CEO of Skirt Sports. “Our annual Skirt Chaser 5ks in Denver and Tempe have grown tremendously each year since we first started offering them, and part of that success is due to the local production companies with whom we’ve worked. By seeking local licensing sponsors who know and understand their home markets, I feel that our events will be even more successful.”

Professional race production companies that would like to be considered for the opportunity to grow the Skirt Chaser 5k race series should contact DeBoom at nicole@skirtsports.com.
