Silencer Central, the U.S. dealer, distributor and manufacturer of suppressors, announced it has broken ground on a new warehouse and distribution center adjacent to its headquarters building in Sioux Falls, SD.
The 60,000-square-foot facility will house inventory and distribution lines for all Silencer Central products and research and development infrastructure, including an indoor shooting range.
“I am immensely proud of the hard work and dedication of our team,” said Brandon Maddox, Silencer Central CEO. “We recently celebrated a milestone of 100,000 suppressors shipped. Incredibly, by the end of 2024, we will have doubled that by shipping an additional 100,000 units just this year. I am excited to see what the team can do with the added space and the technology we are building into the facility. In the end, it will greatly benefit our customers, which has been the goal all along— making the process of buying a suppressor simple and easy.”
The new building will house an automated warehouse system capable of fulfilling 2,000 orders per hour and improving compliance with federal regulations, which is vital to suppressor sales. The new facility will also add to Silencer Central’s R&D capabilities by incorporating rapid prototyping technology with an indoor test range.
“When we set out to design the expansion, we knew that the level of technology we wanted and needed would be a first for South Dakota,” Maddox said. “I must admit, too, that I’m excited to see what we can do with the advanced R&D tools we are bringing in. It will allow ideas to go from the sketchpad to a working prototype in a fraction of the time.”
Moving the warehouse and distribution operations to a new building will free up roughly 20,000 square feet of space in the Silencer Central headquarters, paving the way for additional staffing to keep up with the growth of Silencer Central and its business extensions, Banish Suppressors and Delivered by Silencer Central.
