The executive board of Sigg Switzerland AG has named Patric Zingg as the new CEO of Sigg Switzerland AG, which has  manufactured beverage bottles for more than a century.  Zingg joins the company from Rado watches, where he served as vice president for international marketing. He will take office as the new CEO early March 2012 and will be replacing Dr. Walter Hinder.

As a member of the executive board in 2010, Dr. Walter Hinder took over leadership of the brand to re-energize the business model. He executed several important initiatives successfully and spearheaded a number of significant innovations, such as the forthcoming “Active Top.”

Zingg takes on the new role as CEO with dynamic leadership personality and vast experience in the marketing and sales disciplines. Prior to his role at Rado watches, Zingg was brand president for Hamilton Watch in the US. He honed his skills at an early stage in his career, working for the Swatch Group as international head of communications for Swatch watches.

In his new position, Zingg will focus on creating and developing innovative brand strategies for the acclaimed household and outdoor brand Sigg. He will focus his efforts on expanding the presence of the  Sigg brand in new global markets.

“We are thankful for Dr. W. Hinder’s successful achievements during this transitional period and are glad to have found a strong new marketing and sales orientated CEO in Patric Zingg.”
Said Michael Sarp, Chairman of the executive board of  Sigg Switzerland AG.
