Louisville-based Sierra Designs is moving its headquarters to Boulder. The maker of of tents, sleeping bags and outdoor apparel signed a lease for 7,177 square feet of space at 6205 Lookout Road in the Gunbarrel neighborhood. It expects to move in March.
The new location puts Sierra Designs in same building as its sister companies Kelty and Slumberjack, which lease 11,500 square feet and 4,900 square feet respectively. All three companies are part of St. Louis-based Kellwood Co. and its division American Recreation Products Inc. Slumberjack moved to Boulder from St. Louis last August, and Kelty recently expanded its space in the same building.
The news came from the Boulder County Business Report. Ashley Overton with Niwot-based Freeman Myre Inc. helped broker the real estate deals.
Sierra Designs was founded in California in 1965. It moved to Louisville in 2003.
