Scott Sible, the president of the Merrell and Chaco brands at Wolverine World Wide, plans to retire at the end of the year. Sible took over at Merrell domestically in November of 2002 when he was promoted to VP and general manager for the U.S. Merrell performance footwear operations at WWW. He was previously VP of sales for Merrell.

In October of 2005, Sible was given global responsibility for the brand and was named president of the Merrell brand in June 2007. Sible was appointed president of Wolverine’s Outdoor Group after the death of former Outdoor Group chief Jacques Lavertue in October 2007.  In March of this year, Wolverine World Wide appointed Jim Zwiers as president of the Outdoor Group and Sible again took the reins at Merrell.

Earlier this month Wolverine World Wide appointed Bill Dodge as vice president – footwear product development for the outdoor group and Mark Sandquist as president – global apparel. Both positions reported directly to Zwiers.  Zwiers is now expected to assume Sible’s duties as president of Merrell and Chaco.

Sible is also a member of the board of directors for Outdoor Industry Association.
