In less than one week the doors will open at the 36th annual Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) show held at the Sands Convention Center in Las Vegas.

Owned and sponsored by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) the SHOT show provides a first look at new products and services used by target shooters, hunters, outdoorsmen and women and law enforcement professionals. The show also provides members of this multi-faceted industry an opportunity to network and attend educational seminars.
In a just released infographic, NSSF presents some facts demonstrating just how big the show really is.
The Shot Show is the Fifth largest trade show in Las Vegas and the sixteenth largest trade show in America.

SHOT show exhibitors and attendees contribute over $73.1 million dollars to the Las Vegas economy.

Exhibit space is equal to 10.0 football fields which is approximately 13 acres or 630,000 square feet.  That is equal to the size of the Great Pyramid of Giza or the New Orleans Superdome.

If an attendee walked every aisle he/she would have walked 12.5 miles, just a little bit less than a half marathon.

The show has 1,600 exhibitors.

Total attendance in 2013 was 63,371 attendees with 2,500 members covering the show.

Exhibitors, buyers and the media came from 50 states and 100 countries.

Firearms and ammunition are a $6 billion dollar industry, supports more than 245,000 jobs and have a total economic impact of $38 billion dollars.
