ShopKo Stores, Inc. named Dan Bolstad senior vice president of ShopKo store operations, and logistics functions for the company’s ShopKo and Pamida divisions. Prior to joining ShopKo, Bolstad was senior vice president, operations group, at Fred Meyer stores, Portland, Ore.
Bolstad, 50, began his career at Fred Meyer in 1976 as a store management trainee and was promoted to local, district, regional and corporate store operations leadership positions. In 2000, he assumed responsibility for logistics management of all Fred Meyer businesses. Bolstad is a graduate of Portland State University, Portland, Ore.
“Dan brings more than 25 years of retailing experience to ShopKo,” said ShopKo president and chief executive officer Sam Duncan. “As we begin to plan for store growth and to develop new store prototypes, Dan’s depth of experience will be very valuable in providing leadership to our 20,000 ShopKo store and logistics teammates.”
