ShopKo June Comps Climb 2.2%

ShopKo Stores consolidated sales for the five weeks ended July 3, 2004 increased 1.8% to $301.2 million from $295.9 million during the same period last year. Consolidated comparable store sales increased 2.2%.

Based on quarter-to-date actual results, consolidated comparable store sales for the second quarter are now expected to be in the positive low single digit range.

In addition, consolidated comparable store sales for the month of July are expected to be in the positive low single digit range.
