Location marketing technology company SIM Partners and national retailer Shoe Carnival have been named finalists in the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) 2016 Global Smarties Awards.

The MMA’s Smarties are mobile marketing awards honoring innovation, creativity and success on a global scale, highlighting the teams and technologies that are pushing the boundaries of mobile marketing to reach and engage with consumers. SIM Partners’ “Velocity Wallet Turns ‘Near Me’ Searches into In-Store Purchases” for Shoe Carnival was one of only two finalists in the “Mobile Search” category.

Shoe Carnival leveraged SIM Partners’ Velocity to drive in-store traffic and sales by scaling their local marketing efforts to drive mobile visibility, relevance and engagement across 400+ stores. By combining a mobile search marketing program with mobile wallet offers, Shoe Carnival turned “near me” moments of intent into “next” moments of conversion that led to increased sales.
