In continuation of a partnership between Shoe Carnival and Philadelphia school districts, 10 percent of total purchases at select participating Shoe Carnival locations will go back to the shopper’s school of choice upon checkout. Initially launching with 71 participating schools, the program has since expanded to include 350 Philadelphia metro area schools.
“For many families, back-to-school shopping is one of the most exciting activities of the year,” said Cliff Sifford, CEO of Shoe Carnival, “Each year, we provide students with fresh, affordable styles they need to look their best, but this year we wanted to do more. So, we launched a program in Philadelphia that provides educators with resources they need to do their best. Now, with more participating schools than ever, we can’t wait to watch this program grow.”
“It’s a joy to see the sense of renewal our students return with each year,” said Rosemary Haenn, director of community partnerships at Independence Mission Schools, “That’s why we felt that this program couldn’t have come at a better time. We’re grateful not only for the donations our schools have received, but also for the light it sheds on our community.”
