Shock Doctor announced a multi-year partnership with top Major League Baseball (MLB) catcher Carlos Santana of the Cleveland Indians. Santana joins Ryan Mathews, Percy Harvin, Nick Leddy and Jack Johnson on Team Shock Doctor, the company’s group of professional athletes who serve as brand ambassadors and utilize Shock Doctor protection and performance gear.

Shock Doctor will have Santana serve as a product development advisor, giving detailed input from a professional player’s perspective for the company’s baseball protection products while also serving as a representative for the brand on and off the field.

“Shock Doctor has shown a strong commitment to helping baseball players perform better and stay protected,” said Santana. “I am excited to be a part of Team Shock Doctor, to have the opportunity to wear Shock Doctor’s innovative baseball lineup and help them grow their brand at all levels.”

In his first full season in the (MLB), Santana led the Indians in home runs (27) and on base percentage (.351), while also leading all MLB catchers in runs scored (84) and ranking second in home runs.  Santana will make his Shock Doctor debut when the Cleveland Indians play their first spring training game against the Cincinnati Reds on March 4, 2012.
