Sherpani, the maker of backpacks for women, announced the addition of Gillian Pierce as director of sales for the global outdoor market and Rebecca Pallas as assistant sales manager.
Pierce is responsible for nurturing Sherpanis outdoor business through key accounts, reps and international distributors as well as continuing to look for new opportunities to put Sherpanis functional and stylish bags in the hands of women everywhere. She was previously international coordinator for SmartWool Corporation in Steamboat Springs, Colo. and has worked with Mountain Hardware, MOOTS, Colorado Mountain College, Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts Camp and as a snowboard instructor in Steamboat Springs.
“Gillian has jumped right in to dealing with our international distributors and is already doing a great job putting Sherpani on the map,” said Ed Ruzic, president of Sherpani. “In addition to Gillians awesome experience and passion for the outdoors, Rebecca also joins the team and seems to be right at home already. She is sharp, detail-oriented and an asset to the Sherpani family.”
Pallas will be responsible for daily interaction with dealers, sales reps and internal staff related to any sales and marketing support. Her experience in the outdoor, international travel and nonprofit industries make her a perfect fit for Sherpanis culture and design philosophy. She has worked at REI in Boulder, as a ski instructor at Eldora Mountain Resort and as the global partnerships and communications coordinator for Up With People, a program that since 1965 has sent groups around the world to help participants embrace their roles and responsibilities as global citizens.
