Sherpa Adventure Gear is shipping hats and fleece to AmeriCares to help victims left out in the cold in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy.


The company, which is based in Kent, WA and Kathmandu, Nepa, l gathered up hand-knit wool hats and Jaaro fleece hooded pullovers to send to AmeriCares, which gives disaster relief and humanitarian medical aid to people in crisis in the USA and around the world.


“We are happy to help this small way, offering warmth and comfort to those in need,” said Tsedo Sherpa of Sherpa Adventure Gear.  “I hope others in the industry can help quickly as well.”


The call for donations came from the Outdoor Industry Association, which has worked with AmeriCares to support victims of natural disasters.
