According to multiple media sources, including the CSGA Info Bulletin, it has been confirmed Sher-Wood Hockey is now in the process of finalizing its acquisition of TPS Hockey. TPS Hockey recently filed for brankruptcy protection.

Ralph Trott, president and CEO of Sher-Wood Hockey, told the CSGA Info Bulletin “We were the highest bidder and we have made our initial deposit. We are now moving to close the deal. There are a few details left to work out, but it should be only a matter of weeks till it closes.”

Trott also said a priority for TPS Hockey will be to re-energize the brand, but no decisions had been made on manufacturing as of this time.

A representative from Hillerich & Bradsby told the SportsOneSource that the transaction would have no effect on Lousiville Slugger's TPX baseball or TPS softball brands.
