For the second year in a row, National Health Through Fitness Day will not occur in March. The event, which has brought together health and fitness advocates in Washington, D.C. for more than 20 years, was canceled last March due to COVID-19.
SFIA hoped to host the event this year, but as the virus has not been contained and with strict security measures implemented on Capitol Hill, it has canceled the 2021 event.
SFIA plans to return to Capitol Hill, in person, in March 2021 with pro-activity advocates, athletes and longtime supporters of active lifestyles promoting the Personal Health Investment Today (PHIT) Act.
In the meantime, the organization said it would continue to push PHIT and enlist PHIT supporters to contact Congress members, encouraging sponsorship and passage of the bill.
