Lou Setnicka, Training & Employee Development Manager for Patagonia, Inc. will moderate the Outdoor Industries Women's Coalition panel examining women's leadership issues at the annual OIWC Summer Gathering during the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market.
“This panel examining Women and Leadership directly aligns with the mission of the OIWC,” says Setnicka. “We have a great lineup of panelists, and look forward to substantive audience participation regarding this important topic.”
The panel that Setnicka will moderate includes women from both inside and outside the industry. The panel includes Kathy McGuire, VP Operations at K2 Sports; Jean Dunham, Master Coach at the Strozzi Institute for Leadership; Colleen Clark, Director Training & Development at EMS; and Dianne Walker, Director of LaunchPad at the University of Utah. Panelists will discuss their experiences in leading others and share their formulas for success. Questions to be discussed and debated include; What constitutes good leadership qualities in women? What was your greatest learning experience in leading others? What pitfalls and traps would you recommend women avoid?
“For women in the outdoor industry, attending this event is a must,” Setnicka adds. “The backgrounds of the panelists are top notch, truly inspirational, and I'm confident their experiences will provide significant lessons for us all.”
