After two seasons as the brand manager for Section’s New York/NJ territories, Peter Seminara has stepped up in his role with the merged Section/Technine structure to U.S. director of sales.

Hired by Burton Snowboards in 1988 as a Sales Rep and grassroots pioneer, Peter played a key role in the introduction of Snowboarding to many of the East Coast Ski Resorts and Winter Sports Retailers. In 1993 Peter opened the only Showroom nationwide for Burton Snowboards in New York City. During his 15 career at Burton he was consistently recognized as one of their top performers.

“With Peter’s performance over the last two years, picking up the slack at every one of our events and shows, helping reps from other territories, and being a tireless supporter of our brand, we could not hope for a better leader for our salesforce”, said Troy Bush. “As we expand into the hardgoods business, Peter’s experience is priceless.”

Jason Flynn, based in Montreal, will expand his responsibilities from Technine sales to include Section as the Director of Sales for Canada. Jason will also assist Peter in the transition, creating a team approach between Seminara, Flynn, Ray Fortier, and Section President John Walbrecht, who serves also as Global Sales Director for the combined brands.

“Canada is a great market for Section and Technine, and Flynn’s experience, focus and attention on that market will help us to better service our existing accounts, and increase our specialty store base, ” Said Walbrecht.
