Scott USA, the American subsidiary of Scott, has appointed Jake Dudek as the company’s new chief operating officer, effective immediately.

“Scott’s management understands that one of the largest growth opportunities for the brand comes through re-focusing on the U.S. market, and I am excited to come on board and help Scott realize its potential in the United States,” commented Dudek. “Scott has become a global brand with a long heritage, particularly in skiing and cycling. I look forward to working with the global team to successfully navigate the current industry challenges, but, more importantly, to position the company for a durable competitive advantage.”

The company said Dudek brings over 15 years of experience in operations, finance and analytics in consumer product and retail businesses. In his new role, he will oversee teams across finance, operations, and e-commerce, “driving the commercial strategy and operational efficiency for Scott’s exciting portfolio of sporting equipment brands in the USA.”

“We are stoked to welcome Jake to the Scott USA team, said Hap Seliga, president of Scott USA. “Jake’s strong character and extensive background in competitive strategy, supply chain analytics, and finance, combined with his proven track record of scaling operations and driving business growth, make him the ideal leader to elevate our brand and capitalize on the significant opportunities in the U.S. market.”

Most recently, Dudek was the VP of commercial operations at Signa Sports United, where he was said to be “instrumental in launching two new brands in the U.S. market, establishing the competitive strategy and value chain to support both wholesale and direct-to-consumer distribution. Before that, Dudek was director of supply chain management at Lovevery, scaling operations and supply chain functions to accommodate growth during COVID. Previously, he held various roles at Backcountry, including merchandise planning for outdoor categories, corporate strategy, and leading the bike business across the company’s portfolio.
