Scott Montgomery, a veteran in the cycling industry, announced that he has formed a consulting company working within the bike and outdoor industries. His focus will be on three areas, CEO consulting, marketing strategy with an emphasis on the emerging e-commerce shift, and succession planning to help owners transition to the next level.

Montgomery brings a wealth of experience to his new role. For the past year and a half he was the CEO of Nutcase helmets before the company was successfully sold to Bravo Sports, Inc. in October of 2016. Since the completion of the integration, he has transitioned to a reduced role within Bravo on a part-time consulting basis. Montgomery also played an integral part in Cannondale’s global expansion and IPO, eventually going on to managing the company’s reorganization. After leaving Cannondale, he successfully reintroduced the premium Scott Sports bicycle brand to the USA in the early 2000’s. More recently he accelerated the growth of start up company Club Ride by bringing in key staff and securing both private equity funding and bank financing.

“It has been exciting working with so many companies,” noted Montgomery. “I kept getting so many calls asking for advice that I decided to branch out after the successful Nutcase to Bravo Sports merger and work with companies that could benefit from my broad history of leading companies in our space.”
