SCARPA North America hired industry veteran Josh Kerns as its sales operations manager. Kerns will act as a hub between the sales, operations, and warehouse divisions, oversee the customer service and direct sales teams, and be a liaison with key accounts.
Prior to joining SCARPA, Kerns oversaw operations at Seattle-based Sherpa Adventure Gear. He has experience managing The North Face store in Seattle. Kerns and his family have also owned and operated a ski lodge in the North Cascades town of Mazama, WA.
“Josh brings a great wealth of outdoor industry operations, sales and customer service experience with him,” says Mark Mathews, sales director for SCARPA North America. “We’re confident that under Josh’s leadership we will continue the great service our customers have come to expect and raise the bar on operational excellence. We are very excited to have Josh join the SNA team.”
Kerns officially joined the SCARPA team starting last week.
Founded in 1938, SCARPA builds performance footwear for climbing, hiking, skiing, mountaineering, trail running and other outdoor pursuits from its headquarters in Asolo, Italy. SCARPA has been owned and operated by the Parisotto family since 1956.
