SAR Firearms, the exclusive distributor for Sarsilmaz firearms and accessories in the U.S., has named Tony Pignato CEO. Sarsilmaz reportedly joins the company with over 20 years of leadership, business development, marketing, and growth experience in organizations ranging from startups to large corporations.
“Building a community around an amazing company that has been a pioneering and innovative brand for nearly 150 years is exciting,” said Pignato. “As a competitive shooter, performance and reliability define what I compete with and, in personal defense, what I carry. Over the last few months, I have put thousands of rounds out of every SAR model, and with every trigger pull and every magazine change, I continue to be impressed.”
Sarsilmaz also has over 20 years of service in the U.S. Army, bringing operational and leadership experience to the position. His service includes the Berlin Brigade, 101st Airborne Division, 82nd Airborne Division, Special Operations Command, and the U.S. Army Recruiting Command. He retired at the rank of First Sergeant.
The company said Sarsilmaz has “developed a strong reputation for building outstanding teams and fostering innovative cultures over the past 25-plus years.” Most recently, he served as an executive leadership team member at Staccato 2011 and Staccato Ranch.
