Sandy Liang
Designer, New York City
Born and bred a New Yorker with downtown girl sensibilities, Sandy Liang is a newcomer to runway presentations, but not the fashion scene.
Liang graduated from Parsons School of Design just a few years ago and is already making a big name for herself. The designer has a clear vision of who her customer is and where she gets her influences from to create clothes that are quirky, easy and packed with modern style.
Blundstone partnered with Liang for her FW18 runway collection last week. Her models, including Liang, wore Blundstones classic Stout Brown and Black Original series boots as well as the Sand and Navy Suede series.
Sandy Liang, member of this year’s Forbes 30 Under 30 list, selected Blundstone for her runway collection because of her natural affinity for the brand and similarly, Blundstone was enthusiastic to be recognized in the fashion world by the emerging young designer.
“I love Blundstones because they are effortlessly cool and easy to wear… they are ultra-comfortable, and I literally can live my life in them. I love things that are easy to maintain, and I love that they look better with wear.” — Sandy Liang
“We were honored to support Sandy Liang on the runway as she presented her eleventh collection. Blundstone is committed to supporting creativity and partnering with exceptional individuals such as Sandy Liang who demonstrate a true passion and talent in what they do.” — Steve Gunn, CEO, Blundstone
This partnership is timely for Blundstone. The brand recently launched its first women’s heeled boot, designed in response to retail demand and overwhelming interest from the brand’s female customers and as a result, will continue to place a strong emphasis on developing initiatives for building the women’s collection in 2018.
