Salt Life opened its west coast flagship store in San Clemente, CA at 157 Avenida Del Mar over the weekend and said it would open a store in Huntington Beach, CA later this year.
The second location is set to open later this year at 207 Main Street in Huntington Beach. The Jacksonville, FL-based company is celebrating 13 years of exceptional growth and is a division of Delta Apparel.
“We have watched the growth of our company on the west coast over the past few years and felt this is the perfect time and place to be,” said Salt Life President Jeff Stillwell. “San Clemente is the epicenter of the beach life on this coast and we knew this is where we wanted to establish our flagship Salt Life store. We have a number of Salt Life team members that reside in the area and are looking forward to becoming a part of this great community.”
Salt Life is the presenting sponsor of the upcoming Pacific Paddle Board Games (PPG) at Doheny State Park in Dana Point, CA and will also have an outpost on the beach that will showcase some of the product in the store. It will be celebrating the store with a grand opening to kick off the games.
“We saw a lot of interest in our product during our debut at the games last year, and it helped solidify our notion to open our flagship store here,” said Director of Marketing and Team Manager Larry Laska. “We have a lot of online retail activity, as well as social and YouTube followers from this side of the country and we could not be more excited to be here.”
Salt Life’s design team and a number of its athletes are also based in the area.
