Salomon USA appointed Patrick Crotty to its apparel category as product merchandising manager.

Crotty will work with marketing and sales managers as well as dealers and consumers to understand trends and business needs to create successful product ranges in the United States.  He’ll have a hand in sales forecasting, retail market research, developing in-store merchandising and sample management.  He’ll also ensure that each range meets the pricing, volume, sales and margin targets.

Crotty comes to Salomon with more than a decade of experience in the outdoor and ski industries. Most recently he was senior product line manager at Ogio International.  Prior to that, he was product line manager at Spyder Active Sports and product development manager at The North Face, Inc.

“Patrick’s skill set is exactly aligned with his position here at Salomon,” says Salomon V.P. of Apparel Jim Howard. “He knows the softgoods business and how products are constructed and brought to market. And he is truly passionate about the outdoor and ski industries, which means he’ll be able to relate directly with consumers to build the best possible line of Salomon softgoods in the US.”

“As a runner and a skier I’m a big fan of what Salomon is doing in apparel, and it’s great to see how the category is growing,” says Patrick Crotty. “I’m looking forward to developing the success even further by dialing in the product line to make a bigger impact in the United States. I’m thrilled to be part of the Salomon team.”
