Salomon announced plans to open its first store in the Chicago area with a store in Bucktown.
The store is opening August 27 at 1630 N. Damen Ave, Salomon announced in a press release. Salomon will replace a location formerly occupied by Arc’Teryx, also owned by Salomon-parent Amer Sports. Arc’Teryx moved to suburban Rosemont in May.
The store promises “an extensive selection of Salomon’s Sportstyle and performance products,” as well as a “community hub” that includes a pop-up coffee bar and lounge space, according to the release.
Salomon opened its first U.S. store last October in New York City on 169 Spring Street
